The Route 66 Association of Illinois and Pontiac Tourism are co-sponsoring two performances of Aprons Away: Women’s Work on the Mother Road on Saturday, June 22, and Sunday, June 23, at the Eagle Theater and Performing Arts Center in Pontiac! Help celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Route 66 Association of Illinois Hall of Fame and Museum in Pontiac!

Tickets are FREE courtesy of the Route 66 Association of Illinois and Pontiac Tourism, but reservations are required! Reserve your ticket(s) now at www.PontiacEagle.com or call (815) 844-1187. Performances are scheduled for 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 22, and 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 23. Doors open one half-hour in advance of performance time.

The historic Eagle Theater and Performing Arts Center is located at 319 N. Plum St. in Pontiac, just a block-and-a-half west of the Pontiac Visitors Center.

Mark your calendars for June 22 and 23. Our Association will be co-sponsoring (with the city of Pontiac) Cheryl Jett’s play, “Aprons Away,” at the Eagle Theatre in Pontiac. This will be a free performance. Association members can reserve a seat in advance – details will be posted in May on how to reserve a free ticket and the show times on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. This is to celebrate our Route 66 Hall of Fame and Museum’s 15th anniversary in Pontiac. More information will be available via an email newsletter and on our website and Facebook page when we have all the details worked out.

The play “Aprons Away: Women’s Work on the Mother Road” will be performed June 22-23 at the Eagle Theater and Performing Arts Center in Pontiac, Illinois.

The Cheryl Eichar Jett play is being co-sponsored by the Route 66 Association of Illinois and Pontiac Tourism to help celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Route 66 Association of Illinois Hall of Fame and Museum in Pontiac.

Performances will be at 7 p.m. June 22 and 2 p.m. June 23. Doors open 30 minutes before each performance. The Eagle Theater is at 319 N. Plum St., about 1 1/2 blocks west of the Pontiac Visitors Center.

Tickets to the shows will be free but must be reserved; the play’s websitesoon will post a link to reserve those tickets.
